The young talent on NXT’s roster did not disappoint, and the overall show was filled with high-quality matches featuring stars like Tony D’Angelo and Je’Von Evans.
Apart from the matches, there were also some amazing segments on tonight’s episode.

WWE NXT
(8/27)
Here are the results for WWE NXT August 27, 2024
1) Fatal Influence vs. Meta-Four
Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley were all business tonight as they took on Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend. Jazmyn Nyx proved to be pivotal for Fatal Influence, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say they might not have won without her help tonight. Nyx distracted Lash Legend outside the ring and even ate a few moves from her to help her team get ready for the win.
Jacy Jayne took full advantage of Nyx’s distraction and hit a heavy blow right on Lash’s face. She then combined with Fallon Henley to perform a tag team move on Lash to end the match. Overall, Fatal Influence seemed to be the dominant force in this matchup. Hopefully, Meta-Four will get more opportunities like tonight’s match, as it will do wonders for their development.
2) Izzi Dame vs. Karmen Petrovic
Karmen Petrovic was the weaker wrestler tonight, but she put up quite an enormous effort. Izzi Dame had Petrovic beat in both size and strength, but Karmen relied on her speed and agility to get the win tonight. After a brutal brawl between these two rising stars, Dame was able to land a kick on Petrovic’s face.
This allowed Dame to set up for a side slam, but Karmen was too crafty for Izzi and turned her slam into a roll-up pin. Karmen caught Izzi off guard and was able to get the three count after her crafty reversal. While both wrestlers displayed a lot of quality, this match wasn’t as intense as the crowd would’ve liked it to be. Hopefully, Izzi and Petrovic can build up their chemistry for an eventual rematch.
3) The D’Angelo Family vs. NQCC
NQCC vs. The D’Angelo Family is one match that never fails to deliver. Tonight we saw Adriana Rizzo, Channing Lorenzo and Luca Crusifino take the stage for the D’Angelo’s while Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne and Wren Sinclair fought for the NQCC. It was a fairly equal matchup between the two teams for the most part.
Charlie Dempsey and Channing Lorenzo started off the match with a fairly equal exchange. After Charlie noticed that Lorenzo was going strong, he tried to tackle his injury and even attempted to take off his leg brace. However, Lorenzo was able to escape. Rizzo and Sinclair also went at it pretty hard, and it was clear to see they still had some chemistry going from last week’s Gauntlet Eliminator.
Rizzo even went one step further and managed to toss Charlie Dempsey to the floor. It all changed for the D’Angelo Family after Crusifino got a chance to tag in. Luca single-handedly beat the lights out of both Charlie Dempsey and Myles Borne. Wren Sinclair tried to help the men out, but she was also taken out by Adriana Rizzo.
In the end, Lorenzo and Crusifino combined to hit a slam on Myles Borne, who couldn’t go on. The D’Angelo Family ended up winning the match via pinfall. This was easily one of the most entertaining matches of the night.
4) Kelani Jordan vs. Rosemary
Kelani Jordan was full of confidence as she called out Wendy Choo, but was quickly creeped out when the arena went dark. Much to everyone’s surprise, Choo sent out Rosemary from TNA to beat the lights out of Kelani Jordan. But, the NXT Women’s North American Champion refused to go down without a fight.
Kelani started off strong and was able to get the upper hand on Rosemary. But the TNA star showed her mettle and stood on equal footing with Kelani. Rosemary was more scary than she was clinical, which led to her loss tonight. After Jordan got over her fright, she was able to overpower Rosemary thanks to her technical brilliance.
Kelani ran Rosemary into the corner, stomped on her and hit a brilliant corkscrew moonsault to bring an end to the fight. Jordan put up an impressive display, but still ended the night in pain as Wendy Choo showed up to choke Kelani out after the match.
5) Malik Blade vs. Brooks Jensen
Malik Blade was able to get off to a good start tonight and dominated the starting minutes of his bout against Jensen. However, it didn’t take long for Brooks to start acting like a menace inside the ring. Brooks gradually grew into the match and started to hit harder and faster. After going toe-to-toe with Jensen, Blade looked like he had run out of gas.
Brooks was then able to land a DDT on Blade and proceed to the top of the ropes to deliver a devastating elbow. This final slam obliterated Malik Blade, and Brooks Jensen was able to get the win via pinfall.
6) Je’Von Evans vs. Joe Coffey
Je’Von Evans gave it his all inside the ring tonight. Unfortunately,
Joe Coffey
just had too much help and a lot of dirty tricks up his sleeve to stop Evans from getting the win. Je’Von started off strong and seemed like he would actually end up taking down not just Joe, but all the Gallus members.
However, Gallus was quick to notice that Joe wouldn’t be able to do it on his own. Mark Coffey saw this as an indication of doom and decided to get involved in the fight. But, Evans was having none of it and ended up slamming Mark to the ground.
Unfortunately, this allowed Joe Coffey to recover, who got up and delivered an All The Best for the Bells to put an end to Je’Von Evans’ night. He might’ve lost tonight, but thanks to his sheer skill and determination, Evans just might be able to take down Gallus the next time he comes across them.
