One of the scariest moments in starting my social media management business was taking my first discovery call. With my heart racing and palms sweaty, I had a notebook full of scribbles and a package I hoped to sell. I felt like I might pass out and wanted to run away from the call.Putting yourself out there, especially when you’re vulnerable, is tough. I felt like I was selling myself, not just my services. But I learned an important lesson: it’s not a personal rejection if it’s not a good fit.Eventually, I booked my first client through a Facebook group. She was a Realtor in Beverly Hills, and I managed her Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn accounts. The positive feedback and referrals from her colleagues boosted my confidence and validated my efforts.Starting something new is always daunting, but every step forward builds confidence. Don’t let fear hold you back. Embrace the challenge and keep moving forward.#SocialMedia #SocialMediaMarketing #SocialMediaManager #FemaleFounders #WomenInBusiness #WomenInMarketing

How much of what you see on social media, do you actually trust? 🤔As you may know, I have recently moved 🏡 and I have been scrolling the internet looking for ideas on what to do with my home…I send my husband so many reels of things, he NEVER replies because..1. he hates DIY, and2. he doesn't ‘really’ care about panelling or what lamp goes in a room…How does that make me feel?Well, in all honesty, it doesn't affect me at all.But what DOES affect me, is the sheer amount of content I now get shown because I have looked at one person's panelling which they did in an hour or how they did their entire garden for £300!Really?!I am a little bit naïve to some things, I will fully hold my hand up to that but, these posts are just ridiculous, and I don’t buy into it at all!And it got me thinking...How many of us get ‘sucked’ in by things and people and do we truly know what they are good at, what experience they’ve got, what their customers say, and are being honest?Do YOU trust what you see on social media?PS If you're fed up of social media and you're looking for new and exciting ways to promote your business, grab your copy of my FREE guide, Selling withoutSocial Media 👇https://lnkd.in/emS8BNSB#sellingwithoutsocialmedia#womeninbusiness#successinbusiness------------------------------------------------------------------------I'm Helen, an award winning Business Growth Specialist Coach & Consultant. "I Can Do It Myself!" - The Biggest Lie Business Owners Tell Themselves. Martinez is one of the many business owners. Just like others, he believes he can handle his social media without any help,Yet he struggles with:• Product launches,• Inventory management, and• Staff training.Alongside managing his social media presence,⭐His problems after handling his social media for close to a year include:• Inconsistent posting schedules,• Irrelevant content,• Low follower growth,• Difficulty in tracking ROI.However, he is always on his competitors' profiles, questioning how they keep growing while his profile remains stagnant. His frustration is that many of his competitors on social media have barely started posting 3 to 5 months ago. Here is the reality Martinez's competitors hide from him:⭐Employing a seasoned Social Media Manager is their secret weapon. His competitors understand their strengths, identify areas where they need help, and delegate tasks accordingly.Don't be like Martinez; be like his competitors and work smart. It's another week to choose smartness over hard work.#Linkedin #SocialMedia #SocialMediaManager

Recall those initial days on LinkedIn? Trying to make a mark, wondering if you're truly connecting? That was me.Chasing clients without results left me drained and questioning: Am I genuinely making an impact?Navigating LinkedIn felt akin to crafting a brand narrative – both seemingly overwhelming tasks. The answer wasn't just about being everywhere or amplifying promotions. My "aha" moment 💡:1) Authenticity is King: Your experiences and unique value have the power to resonate.2) Paint a Clear Picture: Help potential clients see a transformed future with your brand.3) Engage Meaningfully: Address your audience's aspirations directly, offering them clear paths to their goals.Once I aligned my content with authentic stories and truly understood my audience's pain points, the game changed. Clients were not just noticing, they were connecting. Referrals surged, and my brand's narrative became a beacon.Ever felt lost in the vast world of client acquisition?I'd love to hear your story and discuss ways to make it shine.Drop a comment below or DM me to chat!♻ Repost and share this with your community!Follow me at Gracie 🌻 Ruth Melendez for more such posts!I talk about #relationshipbuilding #socialselling #personalbranding

You absolutely NEED to know about this new tip I discovered this week!I went from not connecting with anyone to connecting with ideal clients simply by incorporating this method into my daily routine. And it’s SO simple that anyone with social media can do it.It all boils down to these [3] steps:👉Friend 10 people a day on social media👉Connect with their posts👉Rinse and repeat dailyBut...yes, there is a but, you have to be a bit picky with who you connect with. Don't just accept every friend request - open their profile and see if they are a fit for you!If you give this technique a shot I’d love to hear about your experience and if it helped you connect with your ideal client.Make sure to try it out and let me know how it goes in the comments below.Don’t forget to bookmark this post so you can always find your way back to it! 😉I first heard about this idea from Maryia Ramanava, who talked about how she uses this technique to grow her connections.By the way, this is awesome if you are an introvert and don't like 'cold messaging' people! So make sure to head over to her page https://lnkd.in/gGGqMyUZ and give her some love. ♥️#strategy #socialmedia #connect #smallbusiness #smallbiz #businessowner #stonetabletsolutions

I just hit 14,000 followers on LinkedIn. 👀 So I figured I’d share how this happened…When I started posting on LinkedIn, I didn’t do it to:❌ Get lots of followers, likes and comments❌ Make sales within the next month, or even the coming year❌ Become a LinkedInfluencer ;)I did it to:➡️ Build a strong personal brand that would benefit me for years to come ➡️ Give value to others without expecting anything in return, especially not sales➡️ Share my opinions and perspectives because I felt they needed to be heard Naturally, that lead to:✅ Generating tons of leads and revenue into my business✅ Finding some of my best friends & amazing network ✅ 14,000 followers and authority within my niche So what I’m saying is: I didn’t start with an intention to TAKE.I started with an intention to give. And to find joy simply in writing and being myself. No expectation on the outcome. So if you’re having trouble “succeeding” here…Ask yourself if you’re more interested in getting something out of it..Than you are in giving something to the world.

Happy Friday! What did I learn this week? After years of posting a few times a week and months of posting every day, the most important thing is not consistency but substance. This past year, we gained two clients through social media, a total of over $50,000. Both clients never once liked, commented on, or reshared a post. As far as "metrics" were concerned, they didn't exist. But both recounted to me in a meeting how we gave away valuable information they could use and that what they saw from us was a desire to truly help organizations, not guilt them or pressure them into working from us. So, lesson learned: no matter how much you post, be authentic, be genuine, and be helpful.#relationship #marketing #business
