Four livestream cameras near Cadillac at Caberfae PeaksandCoyote Crossings Resort are just starting to show fall color changes. Peak color is still a few days away, with Oct. 20-26 being the best timeframe for the area, according to the latest Pure Michigan fall color update.

While you are Up North, be sure to take in the fall color from above by hopping on a chairlift at the Shanty Creek Resort near Bellaire. The rides are $8 per person and run each weekend until Oct. 20.

The oldest neighborhood in Detroit, Corktown, is the only Michigan neighborhood to make the cut.

Renewable energy: A plan to install solar panels at a massive former Grand Rapids landfill site to help power the city’s buildings, street lights and signals in the coming years got a state funding boost of $3 million.

New details: Police have released new information to the public as an update to a missing person case from Southwest Michigan that began in November 2018. Brittany Nichole Shank was last seen in the 3300 block of Fawn River Road at about 9:40 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office said in a 2019 news release about the case.Shank was 23 at the time, police said.
